Spotify playing local version of song instead of real version?

I noticed that a song on my Spotify is being replaced by my local version of it (saved on iTunes) that has someone else's voice over it. My local version has a song name, album, year etc. identical to the real version. I can even search for the artist's album through Spotify and play the song from there - which shouldn't be the local version since it shows it has over 600 million saves - but what I hear is my local version. Why might this happen?

It sounds like you might have enabled Local Files in iTunes. Try to change the title of the song which has someone else's voice over it. That should prevent the two songs from matching. Alternatively you can try to disable Local Files in Spotify.
