My Question or Issue
I have a working internet connection, but Spotify says I am offline.

Could you try checking if Offline Mode is on by going to the Spotify Menu in the Menu Bar?

Could you try a quick clean reinstall of the app? Just follow these steps.

I have same problem on Macbook.
To "solve" this issue, just clear app data (go to Android Settings -> Apps -> Spotify -> Clear data), launch Spotify, connect it to your account and do not synchronize playlists.
