Spotify says I'm offline even though I'm connected to the Internet

I've had this problem all day. Whenever I open Spotify, it says that I'm offline. I'm not offline. I've tried refreshing it many times, and it still says that I'm offline. Hell, I've even tried reinstalling Spotify. Nothing seems to help me. Is there anything that would help me with this problem? Does anyone know what I should do?

Now it tells me whenenver i login "A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify. Additionally you could change the currently used proxy settings"

Can you please disable your firewall and antivirus and try it again?

Hi! Try closing Spotify and opening it again. Make sure you completely shut the app down or it will not make a difference. If that doesn't work, try the steps here.
