Spotify takes ages to load

Hi. I have downloaded the spotify app on my iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015) running High Sierra 10.13.4 and it takes 5 minutes to load.

Surely, this can't be right. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but get the same problem.

I'm at the point where I'm going to have to cancel my subscription. I have no issue with Spotify loading on my iPad and iPhone.

Please somebody help!

You're doing great. I've been staring at my Spotify app for the past 30 minutes and it still hasn't fully loaded. Fifteen minutes to an hour seems to be the norm for me.
