Spotify takes minutes to load results on Mac desktop

Hi,

I used to have a fix for this but the thread has since been either removed or I no longer have access to it - either way the page now says I cannot access it.

The problem is that my searches take minutes to load and Spotify doesn't respond when I try to change songs, pause, etc. The link I have linked is the only solution that used to work (included deleting something from Library).

Would anyone have that method saved/screenshot, or another way to fix this?
