Hi @dorbach, welcome to the Community!

Have you tried logging out and back in the account to see if the issue persists?

Does it only happen with the play button or also with other commands?

Is there any other fact/information you think might be relevant?

yes, I have now logged out and back in, but the issue persist. It shows like it is on play mode but no progress at all.And all the rest works fine...but cannot play the music..

Ok @dorbach

I'd suggest you try reinstalling Spotify.

To do so just follow these steps:

  1. Click Spotify in the menu bar then Quit Spotify.
  2. Open Finder then click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn’t visible).
  3. Open Caches and delete the com.spotify.Client folder.
  4. Click the back arrow.
  5. Open Application Support and delete the Spotify folder.
  6. Download and install Spotify.

Hope this is more helpful 🙂

Thanks so much! This works..the truth is that I was working with the player on Chrome. I was not aware that there is a downloadable application.

Oh, that's why!

I thought you were using the desktop app.

Anyway, let me know if you have any other questions!

And please don't forget to add likes and Accept as Solution if everything's ok now 🙂
