Troubles with Mac El Capitan 10.11.6

Troubles with Mac El Capitan 10.11.6

Hello,

since months Spotify on my Mac El Capitan (10.11.6) gets slower and slower. It needs maybe up to ten minutes to see not a black screen only.

But also when playlists are loaded after such long time, normally it is not possible to start any list or it needs up to 5 minutes for listening to music.

I also tried to clear cache and to reinstall Spotify, but there is the same problem always.

Thats very frustrating.

Hey @Phipsiii, welcome to the Community.

Hope you're doing great!

Could you try disabling Hardware Acceleration?

You can do that by going into the Spotify menu in the Menu Bar next to the .

Hope it helps 🙂

Hi there,

I've been experiencing the same issue in the past 2 months and it's still not working. I failed to load my Spotify properly for interface and other pages. Not only I fail to load those pages, I also failed to play any songs.

1. First I followed the instructions of doing a clean unistall BUT FAILED (https://support.spotify.com/is/using_spotify/troubleshooting/reinstallation-of-spotify/

2. I unclicked Hardware Acceleration BUT FAILED

3. I also try to download Sportify app via different browsers (I always use Chrome) and upgraded Safari just to try to see if this will make any differnece BUT FAILED

My device and operating system: OS X El Captian Version 10.11.6

Sportify version: 1.1.16.522.g55a4b852

Type of Sportify account: Free
