Why did my account all of the sudden change to free instead of premium?

My spotify stopped working all of the sudden. I was a premium member and yesterday, the app kicked me out of my music and said that I had the free account so now I can only listen to shuffle. I'm quite confused about this especially since I've been paying for spotify all this time. I uninstalled the app and tried to reinstall it, but now that won't even work. Please help?!
