Why is Spotify so incredibly slow???!!!!

I'm on a mac IOS Sierra almos 150GB of free space in HD and my Spotify for desktop is incredibly slow!!! (slower than anyother application I run on the computer)

Why this happens?

How to fix it???

It could be due to the amount of apps you have open as well as your internet connection.  Also make sure the app is up to date(:

I've been having this same problem for a couple days now and I have a good internet connection I've tested, and I closed every other program other than spotify and that didn't seem to help at all.

I've had this exact problem and so have many other mac users. I'm not exactly sure what causes it - but there is a solution!

Once I did a clean re-install it stopped being so slow. This is more effective then just simply deleting it.

Hopefully this works for you, it worked for me and now my spotify on mac runs pretty smoothly.
