Will only play random songs?!

My Question or Issue

Everytime I go to play music on my macbook, I'll click a song on one of my playlists, then after that completely random songs come on? I just want it to stay on a playlist I click on but it keeps playing none of my music? I have already tried redownloading it and I've logged in and out - nothing changes. The same account on my iphone is fine however. I'll put a song in a queue and it will completely disregard it. 

I have turned of all my settings that I thought could be causing this, but I don't know what to do at this point.

That's odd. Since the normal moving to trash method is not working, I suggest that you try this app:

http://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/

When you open it up, click the search icon and search for Spotify and it will automatically find and delete all files on your computer related to Spotify.

After that, download and reinstall Spotify.

Note: after you reinstall make sure to go into the Spotify settings and redo your preferences.
