Hi again @alliheartsmusic  and thanks for confirming! 🙂
Just to rule out any app bugs, have you already run through a clean install?

If not, I have the steps copied below and hope it can help remedy the issue. 🙂

  1. Open Finder then click Go > Library in the menu bar. (You may need to hold the Alt key if Library isn’t visible).
  2. Open Caches and delete the com.spotify.Client folder.
  3. Click the back arrow.
  4. Open Application Support and delete the Spotify folder.
  5. Make sure to head here to download the app.

Hi @alliheartsmusic  🙂
Just to confirm, you show your Mac OS as current so I assume this means Mojave? Also, are you able to play sound with any other program or just not Spotify?
I updated my system not long ago and had this issue pop up for me with the new OS. It corrected itself after a reboot, but I am curious as to what you may have already tried for troubleshooting. 🙂
Feel free to reply and I'll be happy to try and assist!

Yep, I'm running on Mojave. Having no issues playing sound through my MacBook using other apps. It's just Spotify.

Thanks for your help!
