My Question or Issue

spotify keeps crashing, cant use my keyboard buttons to controll the music anymore, am missing some key features that used to exist. is any of that ever going to be adressed? or should i just switch to deezer or some other competitor?

Can you perform a clean reinstall of the app? This will make sure there's no old cache files causing the crash of the app.
