bugs after Big Sur update?

bugs after Big Sur update?

Plan

Country

Indonesia

Device

Macbook Pro Retina Early 2015

Operating System

Mac OS Big Sur 11.4

Before I updated to Big Sur 11.4, my spotify was running fine, but then this morning there was the something went wrong notification and button to reload and then i got the infamous black screen, to make a long story short, i ended up having to press that button numerous times, updating my Mac to Big Sur 11.4 and reinstalling the app about 12 times and clearing the caches, the problem is not really solved.

I could start listening to music again, albeit there is a delay before the song starts playing, but in some cases the song will not play at all and the number of songs i can play is only a few, then when i search something and click enter, the music just stops and the search result may not come out.

Also another thing as well, the app seems to be running fine when connected to hotspot, but when i reconnect to the wifi i will be experiencing all the aforementioned issues.

I really hope this problem is eradicated, because it seems that there maybe issues between big sur and spotify...

i really do hope an update will fix this issue, cause it gets really frustrating

Hey there @farhan1517,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community, and welcome 🙂

Would you mind sending over a video or a screen recording where we can take a better look at what's happening? You can send a link to it or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

Also, could you let us know the exact Spotify version you're currently running?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
