iMac Catalina: Static/Buzz Noise during Songs

I just recently purchased a new iMac and downloaded the Spotify app for the desktop. I was listening to music and realize, within 20-30 seconds of playing each song, a weird static/buzz noise happens and it distorts the song.

It happens throughout the song at various different timestamps, with each song. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, tried toggling the settings within the Spotify window to change the playback quality and nothing has helped.

I've even tried playing it through the Spotify web desktop to see if that fixes the issue and it still doesn't.

Does anyone else have the issue and/or a solution to fix it?

Are you using any third party audio/equalizer apps?

I only ask because I use Boom3D on an iMac, and this happens to me (very) occasionally. Usually only when I've been pushing the whole system pretty hard. It resolves fully when I quit and restart the Boom3D app.
