latest update takes a long time to install on my Macbook pro

My Question or Issue

I have  downloaded the latest update and it is  just taking forever to install. The little window says: "Installing Spotify..." and nothing moves... I have tried it several times and the same thing.

Could you try restarting your device? And do make sure you have a good internet connection.

Hi there- Thanks for  your suggestions. I have tried

1- restarting my laptop

2- disabling firewall

3- disabling virus protection

4- re-downloading the zip file and trying again

None has made a difference... I am at a loss.

Hmm, could you try this out using a different connection to see if it makes a difference at all?
