podcasts not playing but music is (mac and iphone)

My Question or Issue

orignally was not able to listen to my podcast on my iphone, so i turned to my laptop. now, i can't listen to either. i tried the clean reinstall, the standard reinstall, and rebooted my laptop three times and nothing has worked. I can listen to music just fine, but podcasts won't play. what else can i do?

update: it only plays some podcast episodes, but not the episodes of NADDPOD after episode 25

Thanks for reaching out!

Can you let us know what happens if you try to start an episode? Do you receive a specific error message?

If possible, could you also ask a friend or a family member to sign in to their Spotify account on one of your devices to see if the episodes work for them?

So that we can look into this further, a link to a podcast episode that you have issues playing would also be helpful.

^ this issue is now occurring with episodes prior to this as well

no error message, the timestamp remains at 00:00 and even when skipping ahead in the episode, say to 36:22 as an example, it stays at that time and doesn't move or play.

We were unable to reproduce the issue on our end.

Could you try using a different internet connection and a different Spotify account?
