This library function change was actually part of a recent Spotify update. You can read about all the changes here - along with some tips.

I hope it helps and have a wonderful day! 🙂

Well, as a feedback, I have to say this is (pardon my french) the shittiest UX idea I've ever seen on Spotify.

For the love of music players, what is Spotify doing to their library? Now I have to remember whether I saved a song or followed the artist or saved the album because they're all separate content types? *weeps with frustration* *pines for Zune music*

Hi,

I'd like to thank you for this change. Saving an album was not the same as saving tracks to listen to them in my Favorites playlist.

As I used to say, listening to a Pink Floyd song out of context is not the same as listening to the album as a full experience. I would only save the singles in my favorites.

So don't listen to these insults, tracks and albums are just different beasts, and people still have an option to save all tracks as before.

It's true that tracks and albums are different beasts, but right now
there's no easy way to say "play just the songs I like off this album."
An album view (like group by album, with art) of saved/liked/favorite
tracks would work, but they don't have it. And now clicking on a saved
album where I had previously removed one or two songs shows me all of
them, so there's no way to do it from album view either. Artists are now
only followed artists, instead of a grouping by artist of saved tracks
(which I also miss). Basically allowing us to sort and group favorite
tracks in a way other than by list that can barely be reordered would be
fine—but we can't. So they've taken away functionality.

I think you would appreciate a tracks page but grouped by albums with the covers, so it looks like the albums page but you only see and hear your liked tracks.

Yes, that would definitely work, without changing the new album behavior.
