Hi,
I'm a premium Spotify user. Very often, when using the Mac client, I get a "can't play the current track" error message. It appears for the same track if I try to re-play it, even after restarting Spotify.
The same song plays fine on my Android phone.
Solved! Go to Solution.
You need to clear your cache on Spotify.
To find the folder go to Edit > Preferences > Advanced Settings.
Go down to Cache and you will find the location of the folder. Delete that folder. Remember to close spotify before removing it.
Start up spotify again and it'll work.
I been having exactly the same problem for a couple of weeks. Most tracks won´t play on my computer but if I switch to another one it works just fine, I tried logging out and in, restarting the computer, reinstalled spotify multiple times etc but it seems nothing will work! Somebody needs to answer this question
Same issue here on windows premium user, uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted computer, turned off high quality playback. Nothing seems to be working, however it still plays fine from my phone.
