My Question or Issue

This is just for Mac per se.  I have over 3000 songs "liked", why does the shuffle feature only seem to play a portion of them?  I hear the same songs over and over.  And sometimes in my car, it will say that is is playing, for example, song 14 of 91.  Why is my whole library not being access on shuffle?  Thanks!
