songs are not connecting to the album it is part of

I have downloaded songs for a greyed out album that I wanted to listen to. I have correctly named the song files to the album on spotify, but when I go to listen to the track it is not linked to the album. I then checked my local files and noticed that they are there but not connected to the spotify album. If you know a fix please help. I started experiencing the same problem about a month ago despite the fact that I can play my local files just fine and I had no problems connecting my local files to albums on Spotify so long as the song and artist names were the exact same up until that point. Yet, now when I try to play a local file directly in the library, all I get is an error message telling me to import the song if I want to play it.
