My Question or Issue

This was reported originally at https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Can-t-stop-Spotify-from-auto-downloading-OneDrive/t..., but  it seems because a customer provided a workaround, the company has been ignoring what is still a very annoying bug. 

By the way, removing the option altogether as in recent recent A/B testing (https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Local-Files-Option-Disappeared/td-p/4922849) is a step backwards because it blocks the workaround, but doesn't actually fix the problem.

When the option to show local files isn't enabled, Spotify should just not read from the local music library or any other local source, without requiring users to exclude the source.
