My Question or Issue
So I have gaming headphones that have a 7.1 surround sound function that can be toggled. When headphones are set to normal stereo, everything is fine, but when I turn 7.1 on the bass gets distorted and there is an awful kind of buzzing sound(like an old radio when it loses signal) every time there is stronger bass.THIS ONLY happens on spotify.Any fixes?
bump.. please
Hey @-_-DropTheBeat,
Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.
I'd be great for you to try two things:
You may also try disabling the onboard audio (e.g. Realtek) in Device Manager, so that your gaming headphones will be the only (and always default) audio device.
Hope you'll find this useful. Let us know how you get on and if there's anything else we can help with!
Hey @-_-DropTheBeat,
Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
To further clarify and answer your last question, yes. You should access your Device manager > Sound, video and game controllers > Realtek High Definition Audio under the list of audio device drivers. Then, it should be possible to right-click and select Disable.
Let us know how you get on. We're looking forward to your update!
Hey there you, Yeah, you! 😁 Welcome - we're glad you joined the Spotify Community! While you here, let's have a fun game…
