Ad won't play and has to be closed to fix issues

My Question or Issue

Spotify goes to play an ad but the ad just stops. It isn't a connection issue or me just pausing it. It actually says the ad is playing but it never actually does. Becuase its a free account, I can't just play another song or playlist to override it because then it says I have to wait for the ad to finish playing. The only solution I have is to close it and re-open it. I've already deleted and re-installed as well. This is quite annoying obviously, but I just wanted to put this issue out there to see if there is a fix.

When you removed the application, have you made sure to check if there were no files left in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Spotify ?
