Album cover won't show on fullscreen mode for spotify desktop

Whenever I go in fullscreen mode it would never show the album cover, just a color in the background

Thanks for reaching out!

I tried reproducing the issue and, although everything loaded a bit slower than expected, both the album cover and the artist image loaded fully in full screen mode with the latter taking more time than the former. With this in mind, I'd advise waiting a bit to see if the image would appear but if it's taking too long, there's a few things we can try to remedy the issue. 
 

As a starting troubleshooting step, see if there aren't any pending app updates. Install them if there are and restart your PC.

Remove your cached data as shown here and check if there's any difference.

If the issue remains but your PC and other apps are functioning without delays, you can also try disabling the app's Hardware Acceleration setting:
