My Question or Issue

Hi - when i have the app open the audio quality sounds better and is louder. When i minimize the window it changes and gets softer/not as clean.

I double checked all my settings to make sure my streaming quality is high (and it is). Any advice?

Thanks!

Hey @neelbh

It might be caused by some Windows audio settings. Check out the following:

The audio enhancements:
1. Go to Taskbar, find and click on the speaker icon. Click the speaker/device icon again on the volume slider popup.
2. Go to Sound Enhancement tab and disable them.
3. If there are additional tabs like Dolby or similar, try disabling these too.

The Communications setting:
1. Find the speaker icon on Taskbar again. Right-click on it and select Sounds.
2. In the opened window go to Communications and set Windows to do nothing.

Note: PC manufacturer may have installed some extra audio software, so I suggest looking through your installed programs/apps for something like SonicStudio or similar.

Note2: If you have a dedicated soundcard, it's very likely having its own sound control programs, or not have them at all (like Focusrite has only ASIO controls). The Communications setting doesn't depend on what soundcard you're having.

If the issue persists, let me know 🙂
