My Question or Issue
Hi all,
i've already read about the black screen issue on the other topics and tried everything indicated but the problem on my PC seems that couldn't be solved!
Another thing is that when I try to uninstall Spotify the unistaller says that isn't able to run and the uninstalling fails!
I've tried to download also it from the Windows Store and the application doesn't start in any way.
I'm frustrated because everything happened one day without software changes on my PC.
If someone knows something new please help me 🙂
Hey @Stefan2907,
Welcome to the Community!
Try to remove any entries containing Spotify from your Host files. Follow the instructions from this post.
If that doesn't help, try staring up Windows in Safe Mode and reinstalling Spotify.
Keep us posted on how you get on.
Hi Alex,
I don't have any host file as indicated on the thread you shared to me.
I already tried with the safety windows mode but also the uninstalling didn't success.
In any case i'm having others issues on this computer (it is a company PC) and we decided today that soon i'll do a complete windows reinstalling so i think that the problems will disappear.
Thanks for you answer anyway.
I'll update you after i'll reainstall everything to see if the problem disappear.
Hey @Stefan2907,
Thanks for the sift reply.
Company devices often comes with tracking/ system administration software which could be hindering the performance of the app and restricting the possibility to install different programs like Spotify.
We'd appreciate if you keep us updated with how it goes once you've reinstalled Windows.
Cheers.
Hi Alex,
The problem was solved after the re-installing of the operating system. It has also other problems.
Thanks you anyway for the help.
Hey @Stefan2907,
