Can I play any song on PC, or is it now shuffle-only?

Hi! I know, silly question but I looked it up and only found complaints about Android. And I keep on hearing stuff about Spotify free just now having a "shuffle play only" function which is confusing. I know that's always how it's been for Android, not so much PC. 

I've had premium for quite a while. 5$ a month but might have to cut it out in order to afford something else. I'd hate to get rid of it if it really meant I couldn't play any song on-demand--which was the primary appeal to begin with.
