Can friends see me listening to their collaborative playlist?

My Question or Issue

My friend has a private collaborative playlist between my friend and I. The playlist is private so I understand that no one else can listen to it but us, but when I am listening to the playlist, would the playlist show up on his friend activity under my username and vice versa?

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

If you are in public mode and you are listening to "Private" playlist, your friends/followers will see artist's name, song name and the album name of that song, they won't see the playlist, though. If you've enabled Private listening, your listening activity will not be shared with anyone.

if i have a collaborative playlist with my friend X, can X see me listening to the playlist or will X only see the album name?

This playlist is collaborated by X and me only, and i am on public listening mode.

In this case only the Song title, Album and Artist will be displayed.
