Issue
Issue is only on this device, when I play any playlist, Spotify will play a single song and then stop. On further review, it looks like playlist are only generating a queue of one song, so it has nothing to play after. I've logged out/in, cleared the cache, and did a fresh install. Issue is persisting.

Hi there @SeventhShin,

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community. This seems odd so let's continue to check this out together.

To start with, can you let us know if this occurs on one specific playlist or multiple playlists?

Removing all lines from your hosts file sometimes help so it would be great if you can follow the steps bellow:

  1. Open Notepad as an administrator (right-click > Open as Administrator)
  2. Go to File > Open, and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
  3. Choose All Files instead of Text Documents next to the File Name box
    1. You'll see a handful of files, pick hosts and click Open.
  4. When the file is open, you will see a block of text with # in front of each line and might see entries like 0.0.0.0 website.com127.0.0.1 website2.com
  5. Check for any entries with Spotify in the address
    1. Examples may look like 0.0.0.0 weblb-wg.gslb.spotify.com0.0.0.0
  6. If you do find any lines with Spotify, please remove them
  7. Save your changes and restart Spotify

Just to confirm, when you cleared your cache and reinstalled the app, did you follow the exact steps that's provided here?

If anything of the above doesn't do the trick, can you have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family to see if the issue persists? This will help us understand if it's account related or not.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Have a great Friday and start of your weekend 🙂

I have the same issue.
windows 10, premium account, desktop app.

Spotify for Windows
1.1.93.896.g3ae3b4f3

For me this issue happens on all playlists. but only when using the top green play button.  If I press play on the first song, the queue is normal and doesn't have issues.

When pressing the green playlist play button:

I play a playlist, queue a song, and the entire queue disappears.  Sometimes from the start only the current song is in the queue. Occasionally I can queue a song when I playlist I've created is playing, but never for Discover Weekly and Release Radar.

Reinstalled, there were no Spotify things in hosts or appdata. Issue persists.

Hi there @Annihilatri,

Thank you for your reply and for trying out the troubleshooting that's been provided. Let's continue to investigate this.

We can see that you reinstalled the app. However, can you let us know if you followed the steps under Clean reinstall?  This is different from a quick reinstall and could be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

If the issue persists, can you try with a different internet connection?

On another note, can you let us know if this occurs on one specific device or multiple devices?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
