Can't download playlists or listen to albums

Whenever I try to listen to songs that aren't on a playlist the app does nothing and also I can't seem to be able to download anything at all

Are you able to listen to music not in your playlist on web Spotify?

I would suggest a clean reinstall to wipe away all old files and give the app a fresh page. Program files gone rouge is the most usual cause for random curious issues popping up, clean reinstall will wipe away the root cause.

May I ask which operating system, and which version of it you're running? : )

I've already done the clean reinstall thing several times and also tried downloading it from a different source before posting this but no result at all. Web Spotify works ok but I totally prefer the app.

For the OS I am using windows 10 home
