Can't login to Spotify App on Windows 10

My Question or Issue

 So whenever I try to login to Spotify on Windows 10, I get an error 17 which says 

A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify. Additionally, you could try changing the currently used proxy settings (Error code: 17)

But the thing is I don't have any firewall or anti-virus blocking Spotify. I've even manually set Spotify to be allowed through the default firewall of Windows 10. I've tried it with both the 32bit application and also the Windows Store application. Both have the same problem. Any help would be gladly appreciated 🙂

This happened to me today when I tried to log in with my username. I tried again logging in through Facebook and I was able to get it to work that way. It seems my Facebook profile was already linked to my Spotify account. If yours isn't already, you may need to do that before this method will work for you.
