Can't play local files. "Spotify can't play this right now."

My Question or Issue

I can't play any of my local files. They are greyed out in my playlist and when i try to play a local file this error message pops up: "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

This problem started a few months ago when there was a new update to Spotify.

I have already tried to do a fresh install, which doesn't fix it.

Installing new codecs doesn't fix it either.

I have also tried to remove the "local-files.bnk" file, but that doesn't fix it.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the local files work great on my iPhone. It's just on my PC that it doesnt work.
