Reset proxy! Solved for me.
Disabling crossfading worked for me. Noticed that songs were getting to exactly 3 seconds in, then the error would pop up, coincidentally the time I had set for crossfading.
I thought you might have the solution - sorry it didn't work.
I have had this problem now for months.
I have now tried - turning off crossfade
- updating the proxy
- turning off the hardware acceleration
- re-installing the software
I wish that someone from Spotify would address this issue.
I am a premium paid user and this is very frustrating.
THANK YOU @tim_morell2011 !! finally found a solution that actually works!!
It wasn't on at first, so i enabled it and then disabled it. IT worked!! Thanks]]
If not try to go to the menu bar and click other albums, if it plays, go back to whatever ur playing and try again. That worked
Had this problem myself, Windows 10.
Managed to solve it by going to windows services, and restarting the windows audio service. Has been working fine since.
Yeah man, this also worked for me. Thanks! Do you know what's the reason behind spotify not playing songs from the launchpad?
I annoyingly get the 'Can't play the current song' on certain songs. It always stops on: Eddi Reader, Pay No Mind, Mirama album.
this must be a Spotify server problem.
All those other suggestions don't work.
Win 10 user here, I disabled crossfade and it works fine now.
I still think is BS though, Spotify needs to provide a workaround this, I want to be able crossfade between my local files, they need to patch this up!
