Hey, maybe this will help?

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I do not have a folder there with the name spotify, so i cannot delete anything.

Also turned off local files, that didn't help either.

Also tried some other tips, no succes.

Hey, that weird. In my case, the Spotify folder is located at C:\Users\Ylber\AppData\Roaming. I hope you manage to fix it...

Thanks but theres no such folder there.

I also ruled out a drive problem, because the webplayer is working normaly

But my Spotify installed in that folder. Maybe if you delete the folder your Spotify is installed you may be able to get it to work.

Hey @FluXd

Looks like you might have a Windows Store version of Spotify. To confirm that, you should see a note on this besides the installed version's number when you go to Spotify, click on the menu dots, go to Help and click on About Spotify.

Reinstalling this version is done a little differently - check out this article on how to. 🙂

I also suggest checking out how to reset app data for Windows Store apps. This HowToGeek article will guide you through the process.

Let me know how you get on 🙂

If anyone has more ideas, please share them.

That looks strange!

One thing that I can think of is the default audio device setting. Try this:

1. Right-click the speaker icon on Taskbar.

2. Select 'Playback devices'.

3. Highlight the device you want to use and then click on the "Set Default" button.

4. Click OK.

5. Restart Spotify.

Note: all playback will be routed through this device.

Another suggestion is restarting the router. 🙂

Let me know how it goes!

Again no succes.

The only thing left to do is leave spotify and start paying for another music streaming service...

I'm so annoyed!

@FluXd

I understand your frustration!

About this error and the switching of songs without actual playback - the most likely cause of this is audio driver and audio settings.

I'd suggest trying out all the steps described in this Windows article.

Note: if you're trying out the "Default Format" setting (the last one on that article), try clicking on "Restore Defaults" if possible. 🙂

If you have any updates in Windows Update, install them. Windows 10 offers hardware and firmware updates as well, so installing them may help you fix the issue.

If none helped, could you try uninstalling your Spotify client and try out this offline installer?

Also, did the issue start happening after some specific event (update, installing something or anything)?

Let me know how it goes!

How come then all other audio is working?

Spotify web, deezer, games, youtube, mp3's and all my movies.

No changes where made to the sytem past 2 weeks.

Removed spotify multiple times, cleared cashe, rapared, logged out and back in.

Trust me ive done all things that can be found on the web, and i know the basics of keeping a healthy system running and solve issues most of the time by my self or google.

but after trying things for days i posted this.

and 99% of things posted here i allready been trough, and nothings solves this problem.
