Certain songs that I try to play always come up with this same error saying "Spotify can't pay this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." I have several friends who have both the windows and phone app who can play this (and all songs) without a problem. I've tried reinstalling the app several times on both my phone and computer and nothing seems to work.

I have just finished contacting their support team and it seems that the only way to resolve the issue is to create a new account. Just leaving this here in case anyone else has the same issue in the future.
Hi there!
I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.
If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?
I'll see what I can suggest next!
Sorry about the odd response format. For whatever reason it would not let me respond with any mesage I tried.

Thanks for the reply! No worries, I understand. Could you try to use another browser, or use incognito mode?
Let me know how this goes, I can help further 🙂
I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you suggesting to reply in a different browser or to use spotify in the web brower version instead?

Thanks for the reply - Sorry if I wasn’t clear. I mean if you can use Spotify on the web version, to check if the issue persists.
Let me know how this goes 🙂
@billyj
I just tested it and the song still will not play. This leads me to believe it could be a problem with my account but I have no idea what it might be. I'm also not sure if this is a problem on my end or that of Spotifys.

Thanks for the reply! Since nothing seems to be working, I would recommend contacting Spotify directly, as this maybe an issue with your account. You can fill out the contact form here.
Hope this helps!
