Change speed not working

My Question or Issue

When I tap the speed change on the player, the speed options open, when I tap a different speed, the speed is highlighted, but it does not change speed nor close the pop up menu

Just to confirm, have you tried performing a quick reinstall of the app? Give it a try as a first step - this usually solves most common issues with Spotify.  

If it doesn't help, a clean (more thorough) reinstall of the app might be needed. This way you can start afresh with Spotify on your laptop. Head to this help page to find the steps for clean reinstall on your device.
