Connect suddenly changes current playlist

Whenever I have music playing on my desktop my phone is automatically using Connect to be able to control the desktop app. I'm not using Connect to control at all but it still activates anyway.

However it randomly changes my current playlist and removes my whole playing queue sometimes, which is very annoying. This has happened ever since Connect was introduced.

If one of your devices is an Android phone, there is harsh, but working workaround to stop Sync between your phone and other devices using Spotify. There's rootless ad-blocker, named Blokada. It tracks any app URLs, showing them in the log. In this log,  you can select a URL of your interest and block it. The sync stopped, after I blocked dealer.spotify.com

I don't know about the consequences, this hack would entail, but at least following/unfollowing artists works...
