Same issue (however it's not fixed when sorting the tracks differently).

Hey I think I figured it out. If you sort by date, oldest first, then it works! Click on the calendar icon, with the green arrow pointing down. This seems to be Spotify's default setting when you add songs to a playlist.

It works! Thanks!!

In the meantime until Spotify gets their stuff together, I installed an old version (1.0.85) and prevented it from updating. This fixed all issues I was experiencing. Pretty sad when "updates" just remove functionality and take weeks to fix what old versions had without issue for years.

Also having this issue on the Windows 10 spotify app, figured out the song positioning in the playlist (the array/list value) is what determines where the action of clicking the album art directs you to. Problem is, the positioning is determined by the list as sorted by date oldest first, and resorting the list view doesn't change the underlying positioning values. Clicking the album art of the 4th song in the playlist (as sorted by date oldest first) will always navigate you to the 4th song in the current view, regardless of the current sorting option.

Thanks for that. I'm going to be doing the same until there is a fix.

Downgraded to Spotify ver. 1.1.3.259.g8172f63a and everything works perfectly again. Going to stay here until they issue a fix. If no fix is coming...guess I'll give that Apple Music free trial a spin.
