[Desktop] Recently Played on Home screen only shows artists I've listened to from web

My Question or Issue

For a while now the Recently Played section on the home screen in the Desktop app only shows artists that I've listened to by following links online. For example, some one shares a Spotify link on my Twitter timeline, I click on it, it opens in the Desktop app, and I listen to the artist. Only those artists show up in the Recently Played section. Anything else I listen to doesn't show up there on the Home screen. If I click on Recently Played in the left hand menu, it shows all the artists I've listened to. It's only the home screen that's **bleep** up and doesn't update properly. The screen shots show the discrepancies between the two.
