Desktop Volume Overlay Keeps Appearing Even When Its Disabled

Have been having this issue for a while now where whenever I change the volume, the desktop overlay using media keys keep coming back even though it's disabled. It usually comes back every time I open the program and I'll have to enable and disable through the settings which can get quite annoying after a while.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program which seemed to solve the problem for a day or so but the problem came back.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same Problem, and sadly the linked solution is a not a "real" solution in the sense that one has to install third party software. 

I consider this a bug and it needs a real fix.

Yeah, I had the same thought. There needs to be a real fix for this problem because it's getting really annoying.
