[Desktop Windows] Sort order when sorting by Albums incorrect

When sorting a playlist by Album, tracks are currently sorted by Album Name, Track Number. This is fine in most cases, but in cases where there may be multiple albums with the same name, i.e. Greatest Hits, you end up with a sort order that looks like Album 1 Track 1, Album 2 Track 1, Album 3 Track 2, Album 2 Track 2, etc, instead of being grouped by album. To prevent this, sort order should be changed to Album Name, Internal Album ID, Track Number, that will always keep tracks from each album together as intended when sorting by album.

Hey there @Telarin

Thanks for reaching out to the Community, and welcome 🙂

Would you mind sending over a screenshot where we can take a better look at this behavior?

You can attach it using the Insert Photos option in the post editor.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hey @Telarin

Thanks for getting back to us with this info.

We've tested this from our end and it looks like it's an expected behavior. When you sort the playlist, it only takes into account the value that's being filtered with, which is the album name in this case, and not the artist name.

We understand why this would be helpful, and would recommend taking a look at our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so that other users can also support it.

Keep in mind that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

If anything else comes up, we're always a message away.

Cheers.
