Desktop spotify keeps going 'Offline" but wifi constantly on

My Question or Issue

Spotify keeps going "offline" "Error Code 4" on my desktop and says it will reconnect when it finds wifi but the wifi on my desktop is never off. Where do i check to make sure I'm Online and if I'm online why is spotify not connecting. Thanks

Help’s here!

 

Make sure you restart both your PC and the network device (router or modem) you're using. You can also run a clean reinstall of the Spotify app to get a fresh version with all necessary updates.

 

If these steps don't make any change, send us a screenshot displaying the error message you receive. Just attach the image to your next response to us by using the Insert Photos option in the post editor. This way we can take a closer look at the issue. 

 

Keep us posted! We'll be happy to lend a hand if you need more help. 

It also happens in Linux, in and the mobile app intead of the web browser version.

Unfortunately, since Linux is not an officially supported platform we cannot guarantee that everything will work without issues on int. Nevertheless, you can check out the Solution in this thread and see if it helps you.

So I need to restart my computer and router every 30 or 40 minutes? This is not a reasonable solution.
