Difference in titles languages between app and browser


I have an issue where some titles appear on japanese when using the app (desktop & mobile).



I'm fairly sure songs metadata are correct as they appear in english when using the browser.



Is there a workaround on the app so I can see the english titles there as well ?

App : Tried on :

  • Windows 10 Windows Store version.
  • Deskop downloaded from the website version
  • Android version

Tried different languages settings


Web browser : chrome

Thanks posting here in the Community! We'll gladly help you out.


Note that a lot of the tracks in this playlist have two versions - one in Japanese and one in English. The playlist was originally created using the Japanese versions, this is why in the app the tracks get displayed this way. The web player on the other hand uses the "preferred locale" and other language settings of the browser to display translated versions if available.


A possible workaround is to use the web player to find the URIs of the English versions and add them to your own playlist. You can then play it via the app and have all songs displayed in the preferred language.
