Different albums playing simultaneously from one Spotify account

Different albums playing simultaneously from one Spotify account

I bet this ain't meant to happen ๐Ÿ˜‰

Possibly connected with my other topic Unstable Windows Desktop Connection to Amazon Alexa devices, Spotify connect is so flakey (at least for me) that last evening I had two completely independent audio streams playing from my premium account.

I had bee attempting to move playback from the Android app onto an Echo Dot. The Dot in question didn't show up in the list of devices that could be connected to so instead I asked Alexa to "play Spotify". Playback then started on the Dot from a different album - the one I was last listening to on that Dot - so now I had two different streams open. Heh.

What's a Spotify Rock Star, and how do I become one?

Hey there @Radian! Help's arrived.

Would you be able to give reinstalling Spotify on your Android a go? You can find out how to do a clean reinstall here: https://support.spotify.com/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/ ๐Ÿ™‚ If that doesn't work, can you just confirm that you've followed the steps on this Spotify support article to link Alexa to your Spotify account: https://support.spotify.com/article/alexa/?

Also, what a great question! The Spotify Rock Star Program is a way that people who want to help others can do so and get rewarded at the same time - hint: it's a really awesome program. To sign up for the program, just click I'M INTERESTED on this page and follow the instructions: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Rock-Stars/ct-p/superuserarea ๐ŸŒŸ

Let me know how it goes!
