Is it possible to dislike either an artist or an entire country?

Let's call it as it is - I've grown into a racist... not-nice-person...

I live in Israel and learned to despise Israeli music. There's a certain element happening that I don't know how to describe in Israeli music that is very common, found pretty much everywhere without exaggeration, and I HATE that element. It disgusts me. Literally.

The overview page - the first thing I see when launching Spotify, shows a ton of Israeli artists. Is it possible to make it offer me NOT Israeli music at all times?

I'm even willing to take the strange, a tad crazy route of manually "disliking" every Israeli song and artist I find.

The people? They're fine, I suppose.

The music? Absolutely disgusting.

Thanks for asking your question on the Community.

You are able to "ban" songs and artists so that they don't reappear in playlists that you listen to, however it is not possible to change the settings of your account to now show local music - in your case, Israeli music.

What we suggest you do is keep using the "heart" and "ban" functions in order for Spotify to learn your music taste - that way, over time, you will get a more personalised experience on Spotify.
