[Desktop] Equalizer for the Desktop Version

There should be an Equalizer for the Desktop version of Spotify.

EQ1.png

Since Spotify's mobile apps now have an EQ setting, this should be implemented on the desktop version, too!
The EQ should come with various presets but also the ability to save your own custom settings.

Hey folks,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

We're happy to announce that the Equalizer option is now available on desktop - and is gradually rolling out to all users over the next week. You will be able to play around and customize the sound of your music for a better listening experience by toggling your Equalizer on your computers.

Exactly like JuanJoseMarco says.

I cancelled my spotify premium and In mi case I subscribed to Tidal and of course music quality is amazing. I don't even need the equalizer anymore.
They've got a cheaper $9.99 premium subscription which is great if I don't feel like paying for the HIFI subscription for a month. I don't need spotify anymore, all my playlist are already imported to Tidal.
I suggested everyone to do the same try other services or spotify will continue with this attitude.
So I guess this is it, Good bye spotify.

I am also canceling my subscription in favor of other streaming services that offer an equalizer for desktop.

Hey all, you have to vote for this idea here - https://community.spotify.com/t5/Live-Ideas/Desktop-Equalizer-for-the-Desktop-Version/idi-p/1207205 (i got this link from spotify support). Come on! 🙂

No EQ in 2016 is unbelieveable!!!

Hire someone capable to do this If you are not able to do... But do it ASAP!!!

Tidal is growing strong...

Good Day....

I was passing by to see if (1) Equalizer had been created yet specifically for/with Spotify.

** I personally do not use iTunes.
I have a new iPod and have never learned how to put music on it, I would like to. 😉

***Since I've had Spotify I've been in heaven. I must have over 5000 songs. A music playlist for almost every occasion, holiday, and everything in between and I even use it for the LA Kings games, Posting and Playing Music during the games. 😆

It is the best creation ever for discovering new music, new sounds, music genres, experiencing and sharing our loved music with everyone!

However the one major factor that is lacking is a bona fide equalizer improvement especially for dj stuff/mixing.

**** So 1 Day I was sitting at my pc and thought what do I already have right here?
I clicked on itunes and set the settings inside the settings page first, then made equalizer visible, closed webpage. I then set equalizer for Rock, Classical, Hip Hop, acoustic, bass booster, electronic, piano, Latin.. or vocal booster, spoken word, small speakers, Lounge , loudness, etc....
I clicked on Spotify and played several of different types of songs.

It Made a Tremendous Difference!! Give It A Try. 😉

With increasing competition from streaming services you have to utilize all the

tools you can to keep and hold subscribers. There is significant demand for this.

It would be smart to keep Spotify on the bleeding edge .

As soon as Amazon adds equalizer to their desktop app I'm switching.

Please add the equalizer feature to the desktop version of your app, is it that complicated??... It is already on your mobile app, so why not on the desktop app?
Do you have any explanation ? It seems to be one of the most voted functionality idea here...

Hi all!

Please make this happen!

When you are on a PC and plugged into decent size speakers with a paid-for Spotify account, having proper EQ really makes a difference.

Deezer have this and it all works from the browser! No need for thick clients! 🙂

Additionally, many PCs come with audio adapters which are far more capable than the microsopic devices which sit in mobile phones!

A proper EQ is really needed to feel the music quality!

Thank you!
