Followers and friends activity disappeared

For about two weeks, I have been unable to follow anyone except for artists, and I am unable to view my own followers and who I follow when I view my profile. This problem has occurred after the most recent update that was put onto my laptop. My friends activity has also totally disappeared from the right side of my app and nothing is displayed there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and my display button of "see what your friends are playing" is on. Can help me solve this issue?

We're currently aware of an issue causing the behavior you describe. We suggest you go to this Ongoing Issue and add your vote to it by clicking on the +VOTE button. 

Make sure you follow the steps provided under Status Update as well.
