Hey there @Val777

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community.

Would you mind letting us know the exact Spotify version you're currently running?

Keep us posted. We'll see what we can suggest.

I am using Premium. Thanks for answering. Val

Hey @Val777

Thanks for getting back to us.

The info we're looking for is the app version currently running on your device. You can find this in the app's settings on your desktop.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Hi again
I have looked through my settings and there is no 'version' of the app. I
have Spotify on all the devices in the house and I have checked on the PC
and been through all the items.
It would be great if I could move songs around - whenever I 'like' a song
it goes to the top of my list so I can't 'like' 2 songs together on an
album or I have to listen to them together in my Like list!

Does this help? - Within my list I can pick up a song and drag it to
somewhere else in the list, but it won't be set down and stay!
Would you recommend that I delete the app from the PC (how?) and reinstall
it (from where?).

Many thanks.

Val

Hi @Val777

Thanks for your reply.

Currently, it's not possible to change the position of a song in your Liked Songs list. However, this is possible in playlists that have been created by you.

Also, keep in mind that you can only add a song to your likes if you drag it and drop it in the left side of the app, where all your playlists appear. You won't be able to add any if you're doing it from the general Library view.

Let us know how it goes.

Actually I can't move songs within my playlists either!
I don't this is solved, but thanks for trying.
I think the thread is closed.

Hey there @Val777,

Thanks for getting back to us.

On the Desktop app on your computer you should be able to move songs by dragging them. This will only work in playlists that you have created. You can read more on how to manage your playlists HERE.

If this is not working, try to perform a clean reinstall of the app. Follow the steps for your device shown in this Spotify Guide.

If you want to have two songs of a particular album together - you can create a playlist with those. Just right-click on the song you like> Add to playlist> Make a new Playlist here. After that you can add the other song to the same playlist.

Keep us posted on how you get on with this.

Will you add the drop and drag functionality to the Liked List in future (soon)? I can't image it is too hard to add this functionality to Liked songs...

Sorry, Drag and Drop is what I meant earlier.. Not Drop and then Drag...that would not make sense would it 😀

Hi @gkandale

Thanks for reaching out. If you want to see that functionality, check out this idea about it. Feel free to add your vote and share it around to spread the word.

Cheers!
