My Question or Issue

Out of frustration because my Local Files wasn't syncing, I deleted the Local Files playlist in the hopes Spotify would automatically create a new one and start syncing again.

It was not able to do so. I've tried uninstalling + reinstalling, deleting local-files.bnk, creating my own playlist titled Local Files, adding multiple sync locations including iTunes. Nothing is working, Spotify will not make a new Local Files playlist.

How do I get the Spotify desktop app to make a new Local Files playlist and correctly sync? This is pretty frustrating.

Hi there @jbadaan95,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

As a first step, we recommend running a clean reinstall of the app by following these steps. This can be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. We also suggest downloading the app again from the Microsoft Store.

Then, try importing your Local files again by following the steps in this article. If possible, try using a different connection, like a mobile hotspot from your phone.

Keep us posted on how it goes.
