This is very important. I was looking over my Spotify app on my laptop when I noticed that there was some music being played that wasn't being played by me. I'm not saying I don't remember playing it or that it was recommended, no. These were rap/hip-hop German songs with some Latino sprinkled in as well. It freaked me out, so I reset my password. This happened just a few minutes ago, so whether or not it starts to happen again isn't clear. The artists were as follows and I noticed in my search across the internet that I'm not the only one experiencing this problem: Bratha, Phuketian, Breanna, 26 Bagage, Guapo Lou, M.O.030, Ufo361, Luciano, Burry Soprano, Mert, Brudi030, Olexesh, Samra, Capital Bra, and Shindy.

Out of the sixteen songs (that I could find in my recent history) played, eleven of these songs were explicit. Nothing's wrong with explicit songs, of course, but random songs showing up PLUS the unprovoked profanity is a little much. I'll provide pictures to show my validity:

I do not use Facebook, so I'm not signed in under that. If anyone could provide assistance or at least let this be spread to staff, I'd appreciate it. I'm not a hyperactive adult with too many concerns, I'm just a very paranoid fifteen year old. Thanks.

Hey, the most likely explanation is that your account was compromised. This can happen many ways, but I'd recommend checking if you have some kind of malware on your PC, or if your password was insecure it could have very well been bruteforced.

Changing your password alone isn't enough since spotify doesn't log people out automatically if the password is changed, there is a "Sign out everywhere" button you should use to kick everyone other than you off, take a look at this: https://support.spotify.com/us/article/someone-has-gained-access-to-my-account/

Chances are, you reused a password that you also use on another site, which was used to access your spotify account, this is a pretty common attack vector, I'd recommend using a different password on every site or having some kind of password manager (e.g. lastpass, keepass, or the many others)

If you wanna see if any of your credentials have been leaked online, i'd recommend this handy tool: https://haveibeenpwned.com/

I'd also take a look at this: https://www.howtogeek.com/169847/how-attackers-actually-hack-accounts-online-and-how-to-protect-your...

I apologize for the wall of text, but account security is important in today's age.

Thanks, @slavan
